first entry
here i am i ramadi, ive been here for about 5 days now, its been a rocky travel here but ive managed to make it. the weather here reaches 105 during the day and its 80 at night time, the past two days i have endured 12 hour shifts not including tank maintenace which takes a hour and then fuelin up when we get back from a mission. its 12 on 12 off for now till the elections are over and today is my day off, election day, how forunate. then we go back to 9 on 18 off, its not to bad though, as a tank driver i drive there, sit in to drivers hole and wait out our shift as the gunner and tank commander scan the MSR(main supply route) or highway as you kno it for IEDs (improvised explosive devices) or road side bombs as you know them and any suspicious activity or people stopping. the rovers will get them to keep moving, anyways its pretty quite up there on the overpasses where we sit and scan but theres activity once in a while but so far i havent seen anything major. in the surrounding cities its pretty rough, theres explosions and shooting and a lot of trouble but thats for another company to handle. i miss everyone back home and i cant wait to come home in july. well thats all im goin to write for now but feel free to write me and send pics or whatever you want, its great motivation to hear and see you all.
